Private Chef Makes Your Home a 4 Star Restaurant!
Yesterday I met with Chef Ingrid Berger to shoot some new photos for Redbud. Ingrid arrived with a bag of groceries and said, “I’ll cook you lunch.” I didn’t quite take that in.
We chatted while I shot photos and she chopped. I noticed shallots, parsley, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, asparagus, chicken, lemon, chives. I mostly noticed Ingrid’s ease and fluidity as she chopped, tossed, de-boned, and tasted. She knows how to handle a knife.
Ingrid seared the chicken in a saute pan, then threw the pan right into the oven.
Within moments it was time to plate the feast. Roasted asparagus, chicken with a crisp skin, and fresh green salsa on top.
We set the table for two and the Chef darted out the door so that Hal and I could have a spontaneous mid-day, romantic feast. Hal came out of his office and said, “Our house smells like a 4 Star Restaurant!”
Fresh, perfectly crisp, the flavor from each ingredient coaxed to perfection. We melted into the afternoon.
